Join us on this invigorating day as we take on the Mendoza Rapids!
Upon arrival, we’ll learn how to handle the rapids, how to control your raft, how to work with your group, and the so may safely take on these rapids. You will also receive your gear – including wetsuits, helmets, and life jackets.
Then we’ll hit the water! You will spend about an hour on the river navigating over level 3 and 4 rapids with your group. Along the way, you’ll get to take in the amazing mountain ranges that surround Mendoza. This rafting experience is one you will want to write home about.
There are numerous opportunities to connect with the Andes’ melting streams in Mendoza. We provide rafting experiences in class III+ rivers throughout the year for the adventurous. Before the Potrerillos Dam, all of our excursions take place on the Mendoza River. Throughout the descent, rapid constants provide action.
The Mendoza River drags silt and generates holes and waves during its peak flow in the summer, creating high-intensity rapids. The flow slows down in the winter, allowing you to admire the natural rock formations.
Our guides with international experience and International Certification in Aguas Blancas Rescue lead the tours, which are accompanied by safety kayakers.
About Mendoza
Mendoza is a city in western Argentina, located in the Cuyo Desert. Mendoza is the heart of Argentina’s internationally recognized wine industry. It’s also close to Aconcagua, the world’s highest peak outside of the Himalayas. Mendoza is the capital of the Mendoza province.
Mendoza has a large artificial irrigation system that provides for greenery across the city as well as the growing of grapes used to manufacture its wines, despite its location in an exceedingly dry desert region.
On both sides of most streets are irrigation ditches with pedestrian and vehicular traffic bridges. These are inundated with water diverted from the river on a regular basis. The city’s approximately 80,000 trees and wide avenues give it a lovely atmosphere, which contrasts with the stark feel of many Argentine cities.
