Cusco
Cusco is Peru’s historic capital. UNESCO designated it a World Heritage Site in 1983. The city’s name is sometimes spelt Cuzco, alternatively it is known in Quechua as Qosqo. It is the capital of both the Cusco Region and the province of the same name.
Lima
Lima, formerly known as the “City of Kings,” boasts regal colonial buildings and monuments deserving of its UNESCO World Heritage status, as well as a sensational food scene that is unrivalled in South America.
