Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires is a great city to visit! The Trip Planner will meet you at the airport and drive you to your hotel. Buenos Aires, Argentina’s mammoth metropolis and the most fascinating capital in South America, is a must-see when visiting Argentina. People-watching, shopping, or soaking up the atmosphere are all enjoyable pastimes in the city. As a whole, the city’s barrios (neighborhoods) are vastly different, but they all have distinct personalities.
Nightlife, Tango, Culture, Football, Excellent Beef, and the Best Local Wines: Buenos Aires has it all. Experience an Argentinian dinner party. This evening, you will participate in the Argentina Dinner Experiment. As an added bonus, you’ll learn a lot about Argentine culture and have a great time doing it at this one-of-a-kind dinner party.
Learn the ‘repulge’ technique for closing empanadas, how to order steak the Spanish way you want it, and how to make your own ‘mate’ drink. Argentine wine and the best beef from Argentina are served as part of the experience, which includes an Argentina Asado made with the finest of the country’s beef. It’s a great way to meet other travelers and have a lot of fun.
Day 2 – Private City Tour of Buenos Aires & Tango Show
City tour
There would be a mix of driving and a lot of walking on the city tour, which would cover all the major landmarks in the city. After visiting the Flor Generica and the Rose gardens, we’d head to the park of memory from there on out. The 30,000 Argentines who went missing between 1976 and 1983 are honored in this park. After that, we’d head to Recoleta to see EVA (Evita) Peron’s final resting place.
Plaza San Martin and Plaza de Mayo would come next. Plaza de Mayo has a rich history, with mothers still marching there every Thursday, carrying photos of their missing children and wearing their iconic headscarves, to commemorate them.
This is where Evita gave her famous balcony speech at the Casa Rosada. We’d then head to San Telmo and La Boca, where we’d see the famous Caminito. The Theatro Colon and the 9th of July Avenue, the world’s widest at 18 lanes, would be our next stops.
Los Angelitos Dinner Show
When you visit Los Angelitos, you’ll be able to experience Tango’s nostalgic mood through its dance, music, clothing, and poetry. Ethereal and vibrant, El Cabaret is the dance of this award-winning show. If you’re in the mood for something a little different, this is the show for you. Includes pick-up and drop-off at and from the performance.
Day 3 – Free Day to explore Buenos Aires
Self Guided Museum tour of Buenos Aires
Today, we suggest that you pay a visit to one of Buenos Aires’ many museums. There’s the MALBA – Museum of Contemporary Art, the Beautiful Arts Museum, the culturally significant Evita Museum, Memory Park, a memorial to Argentina’s dark past under military rule, and the Immigration Museum, a display of the country’s origins. One more attraction on your itinerary is the Teatro Colon, a world-class venue for ballet, opera, and classical music performances. An English-speaking guide is available to show you the Theater’s beauty.
Day 4 – Transfer to take a flight to El Calafate
El Calafate
Lago Argentino and the Perito Moreno Glacier, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located in the heart of Patagonia, near the Andes, in Argentina. The Perito Moreno Glacier is the most well-known. It’s the closest to El Calafate, at only 80 kilometers (50 miles). ‘Canal de Los Témpanos’ (Icebergs’ Channel) is an imposing ice river that descends from the Southern Patagonian Ice Cap to the lake.
Because it is not receding, it is considered the only glacier in the area to be in balance. It has long been the region’s most popular tourist attraction due to its stunning natural beauty and, perhaps most intriguingly, its peculiar behavior. The glacier is moving slowly down the mountainside towards the lake, making thunderous noises and rupturing as it goes.
Recommend visiting Laguna Nimez reserve, which is just a short walk from the town’s central business district. A 2,500-meter educational circuit, complete with trails and signposts, is set up in this natural setting. In order to help visitors better understand the natural surroundings, guides are waiting at the entrance gate. The entrance area also has a complete herbarium to assist visitors in identifying the local plants. Viewing points in the reserve allow visitors to observe the flamingos, geese, and other birds, as well as 70 other species of birds, feeding in the clump of rushes.
Day 5 – Perito Moreno Glacier Tour
Full day Perito Moreno Glacier Tour
Take a full-day tour of the Perito Moreno Glacier from El Calafate to see its majestic icy expanse. Tour Los Glaciares National Park with a guide and take a 1-hour boat ride through a glacial lagoon to get an up-close look at the incredible formations that make up the park. As icebergs break away from the glacier, you may even see the glacier’s signature movement and cracking sounds.
The impressive size, easy accessibility, and constant motion of the Perito Moreno Glacier have made it a popular tourist destination in the Patagonian Andes. At your El Calafate hotel, you’ll be picked up for a scenic drive to Los Glaciares National Park, which is named for the abundance of glaciers in the area.
Let your guide drive you around Lago Argentino, which is framed by majestic peaks and icy islands, while you take in the breathtaking scenery. Take a leisurely stroll along the park’s pathways for a variety of perspectives on Perito Moreno’s blue-tinged, 200-foot-high walls. The glacier’s massive chunks of ice will fall into the nearby lagoon if you keep your eyes peeled.
You’ll be alerted to any movement by the loud cracking noises! Another way to see Perito Moreno is on a 1-hour cruise around the lagoon. Awe-inspiring views of glaciers and icebergs can be had from the water as you sail along the glacier’s massive wall. To end your 9-hour journey back to El Calafate, you’ll be able to relax on the return drive.
Day 6 – Full Day Upsala Glacier tour
The journey from El Calafate to the Patagonian Estancia Cristina and Upsala Glacier to see the remote beauty of the region. Sail through Lago Argentino and visit the historic Estancia Cristina ranch, which was built in the 19th century. Choose from a short and easy trek to a beautiful waterfall or an off-road tour to the beautiful Upsala Glacier in the afternoon.” We will pick you up at your El Calafate hotel to begin your Patagonian adventure. To get to Punta Bandera’s port, you’ll have to drive for 28 miles (45 kilometers).
Take in the breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains as you cruise past icebergs on a cozy boat served with croissants and hot drinks. Cruise along Cristina Channel to the Estancia Christina, then sail to the western front of the Upsala Glacier Visit the museum and the old shearing shed at the historic estancia, where you can learn about the ranch’s sheep and cattle history. Before continuing your tour of the ranch, stop for a bite to eat. A guided walk to the estancia’s chapel and other historic buildings is included in the tour.
After lunch, take a scenic off-road ride to the Upsala Glacier or a short walk to see the Los Perros waterfall. To learn more about the area’s geology and wildlife, you’ll take a three-hour off-road journey through the mountains. An easy 20-minute hike will bring you to the Upsala Glacier, which has been eroded by glaciers. Lake William, the Patagonian ice field, and the Andes mountains can all be seen from this location.
The two-hour walk to Los Perros waterfall, with its cascading waters and stunning views of the Caterina River and the estancia below, is a must-do while visiting the estancia.
Day 7 – Transfer to Airport to take a flight to Iguazu Falls
Puerto Iguazu
Transfer to the hotel from the airport. As one of the new Seven Natural Wonders of the World, Iguazu Falls ranks as one of the world’s most spectacular sights. The proximity to nature in Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil’s tropical jungle, with its countless waterfalls, will take your breath away.
The majority of the Iguazu Falls can be found in Argentina’s National Park Iguazu, on the other side of the border from Brazil. Because of the numerous trails and walkways on this side of the Falls, you can get the most in-depth experience of the water’s majesty, including the Devil’s Throat. In addition, the nearby forest provides excellent opportunities to learn about the local wildlife.
Day 8 – Argentine Falls tour
Iguazu Falls
A full-day excursion to the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls is planned for today. On this tour, you will see the Iguazu River from a unique perspective, up close and personal. Our guide will take you off the beaten path to show you the best views of this unique National Park on the lower and upper walkways.
While in the National Park, you are free to explore on your own. The largest of the falls, Devil’s Throat, can be seen from the reserve’s 210 square mile trail network. Infinite rainbows form in the fog above Devil’s Throat.
It’s going to be a wet day, so dress accordingly. The spray and up-close encounter with the sheer power of the falls will be exhilarating. The tour includes a ride on an ecological train. Just as thrilling is a Jet Boat ride beneath the falls. Early in the evening, return to the hotel.
Day 9 – Brazilian Falls Tour
The tour of the Brazilian Falls. Breakfast at your hotel is included. Then you will be picked up at your hotel in the morning and driven across the Argentine–Brazilian border to the Brazil side of Iguazu National Park. As you meander between the various vantage points, you’ll get stunning views of the Falls as you take in the scenery. Brazilians and Argentines argue over which side has the best view of the Iguazu Falls in much the same way that football fans debate which team is better. One thing is certain: both sides are extraordinary in their own right. I encourage you to make up your mind for yourself.
Day 10 – Transfer to Airport to take a flight to Buenos Aires
Transfer from hotel to airport to take a flight to Buenos Aires and connecting flight home.
