What is an ATV?
According to this source: “An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) is defined as a motorized off-highway vehicle designed to travel on four low-pressure or non-pneumatic tires, having a seat designed to be straddled by the operator and handlebars for steering control”. As you can see, ATVs come in different shapes and sizes, but they have one thing in common – they are fun to ride! ATVs were popularized in recent years, even though they were first designed in 1967 as three-wheelers. Popularity came globally when vehicles became more affordable and safer to drive.
Nellis Dunes
The Nellis Dunes Off-Highway Vehicle Area, which is located north of Las Vegas in Clark County, was established by Congress in 2014 to accommodate off-highway vehicles. The area encompasses more than 10,000 acres, with more than 900 acres designated for the OHV Park by Clark County.
Off-road racing events, training, and OHV rental businesses are all held in the area, as well. Trails in the area are made up of rock, gravel, and large sand dunes, and there is a wide variety to choose from. This route was designed to allow visitors to access some of the most popular areas of the park despite the fact that there are countless trails that crisscross the desert.
