2.657 fire-gilded copper shingles: this is the exact number of shingles adorning Innsbruck’s key landmark, the Golden Roof. We’ll take you straight there, to the capital of Tyrol in Austria, past Bavaria’s most beautiful lakes, and through the Karwendel mountain range.
Along the way, we’ll stop to take a peek at the glistening world of crystals. Designed by André Heller, Swarovski Crystal Worlds (admission not included) showcases artistic interpretations of crystal in 14 underground spaces – including works by Andy Warhol and Salvador Dalì. In Innsbruck itself, you’ll have around two-and-a-half hours to stroll around town before it’s time to head back to Munich.
Sink into the comfortable seats on our tour bus and find inspiration in the magnificent surroundings. Our tour guide will provide you with background information on Innsbruck, the Golden Roof, and, of course, Swarovski Crystal Worlds. You’ll have enough time in each place to enjoy all the highlights. Use the time-traveling back to Munich to go over everything you’ve seen and heard on the tour while we ensure your safe return.

You will be met at your hotel by your personal guide. In Wattens, we visit the Swarovski Crystal World Is a mystical and enigmatic location. The “Giant” with its Chambers of Wonder, a fascinating museum built into the hillside, is home to an incredible fairytale kingdom of crystal created by the renowned artist André Heller.
Visitors from all over the world flock to Tyrol every year to see this world of the art museum in the majestic Alpine mountains. Art and exhibits spanning 4,000 square feet are on display. Shopping and more are on the agenda.
The Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl)
Drive to Innsbruck after that. In the middle of both nature and the city, this is an ideal location for those who want to enjoy both. That’s how Innsbruck, the capital of the Alps, presents itself to visitors. Awe-inspiring natural beauty and rich history and tradition are intertwined with modern elements in the area.
And then there’s the beautiful old town, a typical Austrian mix of Gothic and Baroque architecture. Investigate Innsbruck’s most popular tourist destination and most recognizable landmark, The Golden Roof at Hofburg (the summer palace of Empress Maria Theresa).
The Old Town of Innsbruck is a small collection of sturdy medieval buildings, many of which have been painted in soft pastel hues and rest on sloping earthquake buttresses. A quick bite to eat, then more sightseeing. After that, we’ll head back to Munich by car.
