Next, we’ll head further north to Sienna, one of the most popular cities in Italy and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From here we’ll arrive at the stunning city of Florence.

Day 2: Florence

Enjoy this morning a scrumptious breakfast before we start our Renaissance Cradle exploration-and trust us, you’ll need it. Today we’re going to dig deep into the wealthy culture, wonderful sites, and intriguing history of Florence.

Also known as the Middle Ages Athens, Florence quickly extended as a free Commune and Europe’s trade hub. This prosperity permitted Renaissance patrons and artists to thrive. In the enchanting landmarks and architecture, like the iconic Duomo, you can see proof of this prosperity.

Welcome to Florence Guided Walking Tour
Our tour will take us to the Campanile Tower and the Baptistery from this popular attraction, home to the amazing bronze gates where Michelangelo envisioned the Paradise Gates. Next, we’re going to move to the core of the town where we’ll find Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo della Signoria (also known as Palazzo Vecchio) and Santa Croce Basilica.

After a sumptuous dinner at a local Tuscan restaurant in Piazza Santa Croce, you’ll be free to explore Florence’s cobblestone streets on your own or join us for an optional trip to Pisa (own cost), one of Italy’s four major historic Marine Republics.

Day 3: Florence – Bologna – Padua – Venice

We’re going to have a final breakfast in Florence today before we say goodbye to this immaculate city and travel to Bologna.

Another capital town in Italy, we will have the opportunity to explore its elegant streets and squares. We’re going to walk from Piazza Malpighi to Piazza del Nettuno and Piazza Maggiore in the core of the town. From here our walking tour will take us past the Palace of King Renzo, Palazzo Podesta and one of the largest of its kind in the world, the Basilica of San Petronio.
