We’ll start with a sightseeing tour that will take you to the elegant Passeig de Gracia, where you’ll see the most famous Gaudi houses: Casa Batllo and Casa Mila (La Pedrera), as well as other Modernist-era majestic buildings.
We’ll take you to the sea where you can admire the intense changes that the city underwent with the 1992 Olympic Games organization. The Olympic Village; the beach and Barceloneta, the neighborhood of the fisherman; Port Vell; and Plaza de Colon with its renowned Columbus Monument.
This is the start of the renowned Ramblas as well. We’re going to proceed to Mount Juic where you’ll enjoy a cable car ride with valuable town views. The bus will pick you up at the last station and we will continue to the sports facilities built for the 1992 Olympic Games: the Lluis Companys Stadium, the Palau Sant Jordi, and the Picornell Olympic Swimming Pool, finally arriving at the Spanish Village, where you will receive a demonstration of handicrafts of great value.
We will then drive back to the center of the city, passing the Venetian Towers, the fountains of Mount Juic, the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC), and the Cultural Center El Born (CC).
The Plaza de Catalunya is the starting point for the ancient town center’s guided walking tour. Our guide will bring you through the tight streets of the Gothic Quarter to the Gothic Cathedral and Plaza Sant Jaume, where the City Hall and Catalan government headquarters are situated. At Plaza de Catalunya, in front of Hard Rock Cafe, the first portion of the tour ends.
You will be treated to lunch at Hard Rock Cafe after finishing the first part of the tour. Lunch involves choosing Hard Rock Burger / Hard Rock Cheeseburger / Veggie Burger / Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich; and drink options: soft drink, coffee or tea.
Check in at 3:15 pm for the second portion of the trip at the local operators ‘ office: Barcelona is renowned as the capital of Modernism and the location where the renowned architect Antoni Gaudi worked and lived. Gaudi, one of his time’s greatest innovators, has left behind many treasures to discover in Barcelona for the discerning tourist.
We will bring you to the basilica of the Sagrada Familia, the incomplete masterpiece of Gaudi and the most renowned landmark of Barcelona. Then the guide takes you on a walking tour of the Sagrada Familia’s exterior to admire the ornate and symbolically decorated façades.
Next, we’ll take you to see the weird Park Guell of Gaudi, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Be cautious, getting lost in this strange but compelling public park’s whimsical layout is simple.
Our trip continues to Passeig de Gracia to see the renowned Casa Mila “La Pedrera” and Casa Batllo apartment houses of Gaudi.
