Your three-day journey starts in Edinburgh, where you will meet your guide and a small group of other people who share your passion for whisky. To reach the region of Speyside, which is home to more than forty distilleries, you will depart in the morning in a Mercedes mini-coach that is of the highest quality and has sixteen seats.

3-Day Speyside Whisky Tour from Edinburgh (inc. entrances from 1st April 2023)While you are travelling through Cairngorms National Park along the Spey River, you will be able to take in breathtaking views. As you make your journey to Grantown-on-Spey, you will have the opportunity to witness waterfalls that cascade through rocky ravines, breathtaking woodlands, and lovely lochs.

A charming Highland village called Grantown will serve as your home base for the next two days. Grantown is located along the Speyside malt whisky route, which is around 70 miles long. For nighttime entertainment, your bed and breakfast accommodations are situated in the heart of the town, within easy walking distance of a variety of restaurants, cafes, and pubs. Pay a visit to at least four well-known whisky distilleries over the course of the following days.

These distilleries include Lindores Abbey, Dalwhinne, and Cardhu Distillery. You will be able to join one of the optional tours of the old warehouses that are packed with aged casks and enjoy substantial samples of whiskies of your choosing. Your guide may be able to make further visits at some of the other distilleries in the area if time and the interest of the group permit additional pauses. At the conclusion of your journey, as you make your way back to Edinburgh, you will be able to take in breathtaking vistas of the Cairngorm Mountains and Balmoral Castle.

Day 1 Edinburgh – Grantown on Spey

After lunch in Braemar, you can sample the delights of the Royal Lochnagar distillery. The outstanding flavour of its whisky was appreciated by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert on one of many visits to their summer residence, Balmoral Castle.

Day 3 Grantown on Spey – Royal Deeside – Edinburgh

Cairngorms National Park

You then leave the Highlands and journey south to Perthshire. Pitlochry is your lunch stop and later you drive to the Hermitage to get close to nature. Here you can take a fantastic woodland walk amongst the tallest trees in Britain and admire the Black Linn Falls.
