We will depart from Mérida and travel to a region known as the “Ring of Cenotes,” where we will visit five different types of cenotes. During this journey, you will get to know and understand the different types of cenotes. Your licensed local guide will tell you all about the fascinating ancient history that lies beneath these sandstone formations. After arriving in Yucatan, you will discover places that are uniquely found in this region.

During your time spent immersing yourself in the tranquil, turquoise, and crystal clear waters of these beautiful locations, you will have the opportunity to unwind. Itinerary

Cenotes Hacienda Mucuyche

First, we will take you to two cenotes located in an old Hequen hacienda, where you will learn about local history while touring the hacienda’s old town with a local guide. Then we will take you to a semi-open style cenote, which has a history that you will never forget.

You will arrive at the second cavern-type cenote, where you will have an experience of the afterlife and will enter the Mayan underworld, by swimming through a channel of crystalline waters hidden between a green gap, where nature will provide you with a moment of peace, and you will do so without realizing it. At the conclusion of the tour, you will be served a fantastic lunch consisting of cuisine from the surrounding region.

Santa Barbara Cenotes & Restaurant

We will continue on our journey to our next destination, a former farm where you will be exposed to a unique mode of transportation known as a truck, which was once used to transport henequen fiber in the nineteenth century.

Following that, we’ll head to three cenotes, where the sunshine seeps through holes in the rocks and reflects off the turquoise and crystalline water, providing you with a visual treat as well as a truly authentic sensory experience. You will have the opportunity to unwind as you submerge yourself in the cold and quiet waters of the pool.
