The Mount First is a peak above Grindelwald from which you can see the entire Jungfrau region of Switzerland. On calm days, the reflection of the mountains in the Bachalpsee, a lake located an hour and fifteen minutes from the summit, makes for stunning photography. Everything from adrenaline-pumping ziplines to gentle scooter descents are available at First.

Swiss Extravaganza With Jungfraujoch, Grindelwald First & Mount TitlisFrom Grindelwald, visitors can take a gondola to the top of First. From the train station to the gondola station is a quick and easy 10-minute stroll. Buses also run frequently across the area.

The Bernese Alps, located to the east of the Jungfrau region, are stunningly visible from First. The Wetterhorn, the Schreckhorn, and the illustrious Eiger are all there. Across the Grindelwald valley, you’ll also be able to spot Kleine Scheidegg. From here, you can reach the western valley of Lauterbrunnen and board a train to the summit of Jungfraujoch.

The restaurant has a viewing platform and terrace where you can take in the stunning mountain scenery.

Not only do trails and activities begin at First, but also at Bort and Schreckfeld, two stations located halfway up the mountain.

Bort has a hotel, cafe, and park for the kids. Kids will love the ‘Trotti bikes’ available for hire. Beginning your mountain cart or First Glider adventure at Schreckfeld is convenient.
