Iguazu Falls Private Tour From Puerto Iguazu: Brazil Side
Puerto Iguazu – Iguaçu National Park (Brazil)
Iguassu Falls are the result of a volcanic eruption which left a large crack in the earth. They are taller than Niagara Falls and twice as wide, with 275 cascading falls in a horseshoe fashion spanning nearly two miles. During the rainy season from November to March, the rate of water flow over the falls can surpass 450,000 cubic feet (12,750 cubic m) per second.
Devil’s Throat, or Garganta del Diablo, is best seen from the Brazilian side. Here fourteen falls drop 350 feet with such force that a 100-foot tall cloud of mist remains permanently suspended overhead.
Watch for the rainbow!
For a close-up, walk through the subtropical forest of Iguassu National Park to the base of Salto Floriano and take the elevator to the top of the falls, or walk out over the falls at Salto Union.
