Frankfurt City Tour with Rhine River Cruise
This combination package begins with a 2-hour guided tour of Frankfurt. We’ll show you the diversity of our historic and modern metropolis: the most important sights of the former Coronation city of the German emperors, and the new banking center of modern Europe.
Come and see one of the largest rail stations in Europe, the Museum Embankment, the European Central Bank, and the banking district, boasting some of the tallest skyscrapers in the EU. We’ll walk across the historic heart of the city to Römer, the Old City Hall, and then on to St. Paul’s Church and Frankfurt Cathedral.
See the Hauptwache, the former headquarters of the city’s Stadtwehr militia; our shopping street, Zeil; the Old Opera House (Alte Oper), the towers of the old city walls, and our international fairgrounds.
Then it’s off to the Rhine Valley, an area to which UNESCO has conferred World Heritage status. With more medieval castles per square mile than in any other place in the world, it’s no wonder so many flocks to this region during the warm summer months.
We’ll take a boat trip on a Rhine steamer up to Kaub, followed by a wine tasting in a little tavern. In a lovely restaurant right by the river you will enjoy a lovely dinner, also included in the displayed price.
