Chillon Castle Day Trip from Geneva with Steamer Cruise
Geneva – Chaplin’s World – Lavaux – Vevey – Chillon Castle – Montreux – Geneva
Join us for a lovely day trip from Geneva to discover the gorgeous island castle of Lake Geneva, Chillon Castle, as well as UNESCO-listed Lavaux.
We’ll head out of town from Geneva and make a fast picture stop in Lausanne, then drive through the Vaud landscape to Vevey to visit Grevin’s Chaplin’s World.
Next, we will jump on an open trolley for a tour of Lavaux, a region characterized by terraced vineyards, listed by UNESCO. After an opportunity to sample the local specialties (included in the cost of the display), we will return for dinner to Vevey (own cost).
We’ll board the steam-powered Belle Epoque from here to cross the lake and arrive at the famous Swiss icon, Chillon Castle. We’re going to take a guided tour of the halls of the castle to discover its ancient history and the inhabitants who once called it home.
We will then travel to the neighboring Montreux resort to spend some free time exploring and buying souvenirs. Then find Montreux’s renowned and artistic town. Before returning to Geneva, feel the nice vibes of this well-known tourist resort.
Because of the extremely gentle climate, crops like pines, cypresses, and palm trees are connected with the Mediterranean. Charlie Chaplin, Freddie Mercury, and several other world-renowned renowned individuals lived and still reside on the Riviera of the Vaud.
We usually go back to the Geneva meeting point by 7:00 pm.
