Vienna, the capital of Austria, is known for its rich history, from the era of classical music to the Habsburg. Our three-hour flat terrain Vienna bike tour will take you to the most famous sights surrounding Old Town. Cruise along the famous Ring Boulevard, visit the expressionist landmark Hundertwasser House, and ride through the old Habsburg hunting area in Prater Park with its landmark Ferris wheel. Our experienced tour guide will take you on designated bike paths, making it the most dynamic experience on two wheels.
Itinerary
All three trips, in the morning, afternoon, and evening, begin in the city’s historic core and wind their way leisurely through Vienna’s most breathtaking neighbourhoods. Morning and Afternoon Tour
Your guided bike tour will begin in the heart of Vienna, where you can see the iconic Vienna State Opera House and other sights like the Rathaus (New City Hall) and the Austrian Parliament Building (Parliament).
Ride your bike through the magnificent Heldenplatz, in front of Hofburg Palace. Walk with your guide past the beautiful St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the official church of the Archbishop of Vienna, and the opulent Burgtheater. Visit the Albertina, a museum housed in a former palace. Ride your bike through the Wiener Prater and take in sights like the giant ferris wheel and the colourful Hundertwasserhaus, all without leaving the busy Karlsplatz.
The final 6 miles (10 km) of your journey will take you past the expansive Stadtpark, home to the famed statue of Johann Strauss II, and the architecturally notable Austrian Postal Savings Bank (Postsparkasse).
Evening Tour
On this trip, we won’t be visiting as many sights as we will be soaking up Vienna’s ambiance. Your guided bike tour of Vienna will begin in the heart of the city, where you can pedal around the streets at your own pace.
Picture Vienna from the time of the Habsburgs, more than a century ago, as the sun sets and a soft glow falls over the city’s majestic ancient structures. Keep riding and take in the sights of the magnificent Viennese landmarks lit up against the night. You can finish your bike ride around central Vienna after just 10 miles (16 km).
