Enjoy a lovely tour of the top tourist region of South Australia, the Fleurieu Peninsula. This tour starts with a picturesque journey to the historic Scottish settlement of Strathalbyn through the Adelaide Hills. You’ll stop here in High Street for some free time and morning tea (own expense). Move on to Goolwa’s paddle steamer town where you’ll have a short tour of the town including the wharf, reservoir, and beach.
Cruise past the charming coastal town of Port Elliot on your way to Victor Harbor, including Horseshoe Bay, and stop for a photo opportunity at Whale Lookout. On arrival at Victor Harbor, the most popular seaside village in South Australia, walk down the main street and sample fresh local produce.
Experience the optional 3-course lunch at Hotel Victor or indulge in some foreshore fish and chips (own expense). You may choose to visit Granite Island, where you will find the Little Penguins, and during the winter months you may even get a glimpse of a Southern Right Whale.
Then your tour continues to McLaren Vale’s wine-making region, best known for producing exceptional Shiraz. Wander the main street, sample local fresh produce including Blessed Cheese’s delicious cheese, taste some of the fine wines or grab a coffee in one of the many cafés.
From here, before returning to Adelaide, enjoy a scenic drive through Port Noarlunga and Moana’s southern suburban beaches in South Australia.
