Day 2: Galway – Inis Mor (Apr-Oct) / Connemara (Nov – Mar) – Galway

Connemara and Galway City Day Tour from Dublin

The entire day is spent on Inis Mor, the largest of the Aran Islands. It is like nothing else, with 3,000 miles of stone walls. The locals are fluent Irish (Gaelic) and super friendly, so you can talk over a pint with them. Explore the awe-inspiring Dun Aonghasa, a 3000-year-old Iron Age ring perched on the edge of a 300-foot-high cliff, on foot, hire a horse and cart, or rent a bike, but don’t miss it.

It’s time to go back to the mainland for a pint of Guinness or two after a tremendous day. Instead, we explore the wilds of Connemara from November to March, home to many sandy beaches, rugged mountains, and misty peat bogs. At Kylemore Abbey, we stop and hear a love story that will definitely bring a tear to your eye. All this fresh air in Galway calls for a pint and some shenanigans.

Day 3: Galway – The Burren – Cliffs of Moher – Ennis

To explore this vibrant city, you’ll have some time in Galway. From the house of Burren to ancient tombs, fairies, leprechauns! Before heading into the party town of Killarney for the night, spot The Sleeping Giant and The Three Sisters along the rugged coastline.

Killarney is a town on the banks of Lough Leane in County Kerry, Ireland. It’s a rest stop along the Ring of Kerry scenic route, as well as the start and end of the 200-kilometer Kerry Way walking track. St. Mary’s Cathedral is one of the town’s 19th-century structures.
