Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival to Lima: Magic Water Circuit and folkloric dinner show
Centro Historico de Lima
Arrive at Lima Airport. A transportation service and a guide will pick you up from the airport at the scheduled time to transfer you to your hotel in Lima. The Peruvian capital is a modern metropolis full of history, currently undergoing an exciting process of cultural and economic changes. In the afternoon, start your journey at the Magical Water Circuit of Lima, a modern system of fountains certified as the largest in the world by the Guinness World Records.
Built in Exhibition Park, the Magical Water Circuit attracts crowds during summer and winter, being one of the new favourite attractions of Lima. After your visit, head towards a restaurant to enjoy a fantastic dinner show. After the tasty dinner, transfer back to your hotel.
Day 2 Lima: City tour and dinner.
Centro Historico de Lima
Breakfast at the hotel. Explore Lima´s old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site packed with fascinating historic buildings. Start with the Larco Museum, located in the traditional Pueblo Libre district, which is housed in a beautifully restored vice regal mansion built on a pre-Columbian pyramid from the VII century.
The museum boasts the most complete pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver objects, as well as pieces of erotic art. Then visit Casa Aliaga, a colonial mansion granted in 1535 by chief conquistador Francisco Pizarro to Jerónimo de Aliaga, one of his captains. This is the only house from that time that is still owned by the same family through the centuries.
Continue to a scenic tour in the colonial downtown, which originates and spreads out from the Main Square, where you can appreciate the grandiose architecture of the Spanish Empire. Be amazed by Lima’s Cathedral, built during the 16th century and took over 80 years to complete. At night, transfer from your hotel to the restaurant to savour a delicious dinner.
The restaurant is located in an incomparaLlule setting, inside the complex of an adobe pyramid built by the original inhabitants of Lima more than 1,500 years ago. The restaurant is beautifully designed in a rustic colonial style. You can choose to dine inside or out, but the best place is undoubtedly the covered terrace. The menu is creative, with spicy touches of the classic Peruvian creole cuisine. After dinner, return to your hotel.
Day 3 Lima: Gastronomy experience
Centro Historico de Lima
Taste 15 Peruvian meals and drinks in Barranco, one of the most beautiful, artistic and bohemian neighbourhoods in Lima. Taste the classics of Peruvian gastronomy such as lomo saltado and causa, and learn how to prepare the famous ceviche and pisco sour. Plus, participate in our biodiversity workshop with chocolate tastings. Discover the historical and cultural anecdotes behind every dish you’ll taste during that 4-hour walking food tour through the streets of Barranco.
