Itinerary

Day 1: LAS VEGAS – GRAND CANYON – PAGE

Grand Canyon National Park

Before we arrive at the Grand Canyon’s South Rim, we drive through the desert and the Navajo Indian Reservation, where we see a variety of wildlife. Learn how the Colorado River carved its way down to the sea over the eons and created the wonderland for geologists on a tour of the south bank. Continuing east along the canyon, we visit some of the many Indian market places, where we can peruse a variety of handcrafted goods.

Grand Canyon Desert View Watchtower

An unusual stone tower designed by Mary Colter, in the style of Ancestral Puebloan towers. Spot the Colorado River turning north and the Painted Desert extending towards Navajo and Hopi Indian lands.

Grand Canyon Visitor Center South Rim

Across the plaza from the Visitor Center, for books, and a variety of Grand Canyon gifts

Day 2: ANTELOPE CANYON – BRYCE CANYON

Antelope Canyon

Navajo folklore claims that “Water flows through the rocks” as we begin our day. We take a tour of Antelope Canyon’s lower reaches to see the magnificent sand dunes formed by the forces of wind, water, and sand. After our tour, we head west to Bryce Canyon, which is home to some of the world’s most stunning natural sculptures.

Bryce Canyon National Park

Our tour will take us to see amazing rock and sand sculptures honed to perfection over thousands of years of rain wind and sunshine. Experience the unique changing of the colors during the sunset from one of the vista points in the park (may change due to changing sunset times). After the visit, we head towards the town of Kanab. On certain departures, the tour will continue to Cedar City.

Day 3: ZION PARK – LAS VEGAS

Zion National Park

The Mormons who settled in the area gave this park its name. Because the majesty of the mountains and the silence of the wilderness make you feel as if you’ve been transported to another place, they decided to call the park that way. Explore the park and take a short walk along the Virgin River, which flows through the park, before departing for Las Vegas or Los Angeles in the evening.
