The trip starts with your arrival in Vietnam. At the airport, your private driver will meet and greet you. You’ll be escorted by private transport to the hotel. Check-in and get over the jet lag at your hotel.

You’ll be able to mooch around the city streets. Historical beauty, architectural marvels, and a variety of products are splashed throughout this area.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh Street Food (B/L)

9:00 a.m.-we launch the backstreet tour at Nguyen Thien Thuat-The Lively Saigon. With buildings dating back to the 1960s, you’ll walk through one of the traditional streets of the area. Many Vietnamese guitar makers’ stores are along the route. Some of them are of good quality indeed.

There are also several interesting eateries. There are large residential apartment buildings on the back lane. Here, walking gives you an idea of how vibrant Saigon is. Street Photography is strongly advised. The walk begins on the street of Nguyen Thien Thuat and ends at the Ban Co market. You are invited to try the stunning Vietnamese “chè” (desserts made of beans and sticky rice and coconut milk).

10:00 am- To walk through more traditional residential apartment buildings, keep on to District 10 and 5. Again with stores, street food stands, and rickshaws passing by, you can witness Saigon’s special lifestyles on the streets.

11:30 am-Walk along the streets of Hai Thuong Lang Ong & Trieu Quang Phuc, the traditional streets of medicine in China City. This is a region focused on traditional clinics and herbal medicine shops. You can smell the herbs when walking along the sidewalks, and watch the shop owners do their business.

Visit the Temple of Thien Hau (a temple where Chinese people worship the Queen of Heaven, an important god in their culture).

12:00 noon- Go for lunch at a nearby restaurant, then return to the hotel about 1:00 pm.

After the sun has gone down, explore Hoi An’s Old Town-it is not only the best place to avoid the midday heat, it is also the perfect excuse to dive into its delicious street food scene!

Hoi A food tour begins around sunset, and walks you through local cafes, food stalls, markets, and restaurants, giving you a memory book filling food adventure.

Second, a local bakery that has been producing the most delicious banh mi in the city for more than 20 years. They are renowned for their banh mi, a delicious sandwich that will fire up your taste buds and get them ready for the flavors ahead! They use the freshest local ingredients.

Private Street Food Tour ( Vietnam Authentic food, Eat until you Surrendered )

Next, at a small eatery, we will join locals, take a seat on the ubiquitous tiny plastic chairs and sample tasty BBQ pork rolled with rice paper and fresh herbs. This dish is one of the highlights of the local food scene and an absolute must-devour served with the traditional soy dipping sauce.

As we head straight for the central market, our food tour of Hoi An continues into the atmospheric heart of the city, where you can see hundreds of street hawkers and food stalls selling a spectacular assortment of local items, including fresh noodles, sweet jelly, seasonal fruits, and live seafood.

Your guide will walk you through the colorful assortment of ingredients, filling you with Hoi An’s most famous dishes and the relevance of these foods to central Vietnam’s traditional culture.

We’ll dive even further into the local food scene from here, passing through a labyrinth of tiny alleys to one of our favorite (secret) restaurants in Hoi An, where we’ll sample two of Hoi An’s specialties: deep-fried wonton and white rose dumplings.

Believe it or not, more food is coming! Our Hoi An food tour continues to a street vendor where a chicken rice plate is awaiting you. Be sure to save room, however, as we still have another treat in store: cake at home for dessert!

At a local cafe near the famous Japanese covered bridge, which is the perfect spot to conclude our culinary escapades, we will finish our Hoi An food adventure. Top off the tour with a Vietnamese coffee or beer, take in our beloved Hoi An’s gentle pace and focus on your favorite evening dishes (if you can choose!).

As we go, we eat, try seasonal fruits and taste a delicious French-inspired snack from a street cart.

Walking through the labyrinth of busy streets that make up the Old Quarter of Hanoi, we tempt our taste buds with the popular Hanoi dish at a local eatery, such as Bun Cha Hanoi, Banh Cuon. Wait in awe as the professional chefs show how this delicious meal is put together for you.

We stroll past street stalls and quiet residential streets, continuing into the atmospheric heart of the Old Quarter, where you can experience local life that has changed little since Hanoi was formed over 1000 years ago.

VIETNAM FOOD DIARY TOUR - Saigon Motorbike Tour

Our next two snack stops are at barbecue stalls outdoors. We sit down with the locals of Hanoi and taste different specialties of meat, vegetables, and bread that are flame-grilled for extra flavor over hot coals. Then it’s time for dessert as we go down a small alley to join the local custom of feasting on fresh fruit served in a cup and smothered with crushed iced and condensed milk-one not to be missed is this specialty!

Then your local guide will take you to one of Hanoi’s best-kept secrets, Banh My Hanoi, Vietnamese Rice Wine, and the popular Egg Coffee, a hidden street food restaurant to try the top ten street foods in Hanoi. One of the few left on a narrow street inside the old quarter of Hanoi is this hard-to-find cafe.

Or if your style isn’t coffee, a cold beer awaits you!. You are free to continue exploring the area at the end of the ride, or your guide can help you with directions or a taxi back to your hotel.

In Hanoi overnight.

Day 8: Ha Noi Ha Long (B/L/D)

Take the most scenic path to Halong Bay, crossing the Red River Delta with emerald green rice paddies reaching as far as your eyes can see. You get to enjoy a cruise on the Bay upon arrival at Halong to better explore the limestone rocks and the karst grottoes.

After your discovery of the bay, it’s time to enjoy a delicious lunch of seafood, and after a trip to the popular limestone cave in Ha Long Bay, you can spend some time here, kayaking or swimming, so that you can get closer to the floating villages and shops.
