Enjoy a scenic trip through classic English countrysides that inspired television shows such as Midsomer Murders and Vicar of Dibley, before arriving in Oxford, home of the oldest English-speaking university in the world. It was here that literary giants JRR Tolkein and CS Lewis wrote Lord of the Rings and Alice in Wonderland.

Private Day Tour to Oxford and The Cotswolds

Wander through the halls and grounds of Oxford’s historic colleges; climb one of the vantage points to take in the skyline view of the City of Dreaming Spires, or view the wealth of art and antiquities in the Ashmolean Museum (admission not included).

In the afternoon we’ll discover the beautiful villages of the Cotswolds, home to ironstone cottages that have remained unchanged for centuries. First up we’ll visit Bampton, where you will encounter the magnificent parish church of St Mary, the site of many iconic scenes from Downton Abbey.

Next up we’ll stop in Burford, considered the Gateway to the Cotswolds, exploring this small market town that holds an enormous character and a huge history.
