A picturesque coach trip through beautiful countryside takes you to the Bernese Oberland. We will board the cogwheel train in Grindelwald for a spectacular ride via Kleine Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch after a break in Interlaken, a picturesque village nestled between Lakes Brienz and Thun. Stunning views of the world-famous triple peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau accompany you on the way; the imposing Eiger North Face seems to be within one’s grasp. Once at the top, immerse yourself in the everlasting ice, snow and rock fascinating high alpine wonderland.
Experience the adventure tour and Alpine Sensation, which marks the 100-year anniversary of the Jungfrau Railway. Visit the Sphinx Observation Terrace and Plateau with the most amazing views of snow-capped hills, the neighboring countries and the Aletsch Glacier, Europe’s longest of its kind. Don’t forget to explore the Ice Palace tunnels in the heart of the ice-an opportunity you shouldn’t skip once in a lifetime! The descent passes Wengen to Lauterbrunnen, a car-free holiday resort, where the coach will wait to take you back to Zurich.

Meet your private guide at your accommodation and travel to Zurich station together to take your train. You’ll arrive in Interlaken in just under two hours if you take the intercity train. Take a local train to Lauterbrunnen and walk the final step of your journey to the Staubbach Falls, one of Switzerland’s highest waterfalls.
You’ll travel a vintage cogwheel mountain railway to Wengen after staring at the water cascades. The gorgeous mountain community is car-free, making for a relaxing hour of sightseeing. Take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and learn about the village’s prominence in the world of winter sports. Take a cogwheel train from Wengen to the Jungfrau railway, which will take you to a vantage position known as “The Top of Europe”.
The 40-minute journey is known for its breathtaking alpine landscape and includes two pauses at the mountain tunnel. You’ll be able to see the snowy glacier from the summit. On clear days, you can see as far as Germany’s Black Forest. Spend about 45 minutes at the peak to see the highlights of Jungfraujoch.
The Sphinx Terraces and the ice caverns in the glacier’s center are worth seeing. If you want, try out some activities at the snow park and learn about the top attractions from your guide. After a self-catering lunch on the mountain, you’ll descend the slopes and have some free time, possibly visiting the Lindt chocolate shop.
Later, return to Kleine Scheidegg by the Jungfrau train. Then, through Grindelwald and Interlaken, return to Zurich. Around 6 p.m., your day journey comes to a close.
