Cliffs of Moher Tour from Dublin

Summer itinerary – April to October

7:15am – Depart Dublin

We meet at the Molly Malone statue on Suffolk Street. You will board our comfortable coach, meet our legendary guide and fellow adventurers, then head west out of Dublin. There are quaint villages, lush countryside, and even some castle ruins to see as we head towards Caherconnell Fort. You’ll be crossing the width of Ireland this morning!

11:00am – Caherconnell Fort and Sheep Dog Show

Arriving at Caherconnell Fort, you will have the opportunity to stroll around the well-preserved ring fort and take in its ancient history. If you’re lucky, you might see a few archaeologists around unearthing more secrets of the fort. Next to the fort you will have the opportunity to experience a sheep dog demonstration by a local farmer, and learn all about sheep farming in Ireland. Watch these amazing dogs weave and turn the flock at the farmers command.

12:50pm – Lunch in Doolin (own expense)

It’s time for lunch, so we’ll head to Doolin, a beautiful village famous for its traditional music on the edge of the Atlantic. We usually go to Fitzpatrick’s Pub where the seafood is particularly good. If you like seafood, the food should leave you very satisfied. If you are not a fan of seafood, there are plenty of other options available (own expense).

02:00pm – Cliffs of Moher – 1-Hour Boat Tour

After lunch we head to Doolin harbour just a couple of minutes away with towering views of the Cliffs of Moher at sea level. We’ll board our trusty vessel and take a boat ride along the base of the cliffs for one hour, taking in spectacular cliff views from the ocean! The cliffs rise high above you – imposing natural formations surrounded by the dramatic and lush landscape that Ireland is known for.

03:15pm – Clifftop Walk

Not only will you experience the cliffs from the sea but you will also get to walk the cliff tops to view the Cliffs of Moher from their iconic standpoint. You will have access to the visitors center, where you will learn about the history, flora, fauna, and geology of the area. We’ll start our journey back to Dublin at 4:00pm.
