South Coast Adventure Tour: Waterfalls, Glaciers, and Paragliding

Feel the exhilaration, the adrenaline, and the wonder as we explore the best attractions along Iceland’s South Coast. Our combined Iceland sightseeing and adventure tour will lead us to majestic waterfalls, mysterious black sand beaches, towering glaciers, and a soaring paragliding flight!

South Coast Adventure with Glacier Hike Full-Day TourWe’ll begin in Reykjavik, picking you up from your hotel and heading out into the wild land of ice and fire. As we tour the South Coast we’ll come to our first major landmark, the roaring Skogaofss Waterfall, one of the country’s most iconic attractions. Enjoy time here for photos of not just this epic waterfall but also the lush surrounding countryside.

Next, we’ll actually step onto the coast as we head east to Reynisfjara. Another icon of Iceland, this volcanic beach is not only home to black sand beaches but also the imposing basalt columns spreading out across the coastal cliffs.

After enjoy a short lunch break here (own expense) we’ll meet our paragliding pilots and leap out over the coast on a thrilling sightseeing flight. Feel the wind in your hair as you witness unheard of panoramas of the black volcanic coast, jagged mountain peaks and way up to the massive Mýrdalsjökull ice cap. No previous paragliding flight experience is required and certified, experienced pilots make sure your flight is safe and enjoyable.

Settle back down on the ground as we continue our adventure, enjoying a scenic drive to Solheimajokull Glacier. Here we’ll enjoy 2 to 3 hours to explore this amazing region. We’ll also meet a Solheimajokull Glacier hiking tour that will join us on our return journey to Reykjavik.

On our way back to the capital, we’ll encounter the last stop, the iconic Seljalandsfoss Waterfall where you can literally walk behind a curtain of water; certainly a moment you’ll want to capture on camera.
