town of Pitumarca, where we will eat breakfast. After eating, we will continue the drive to Chilca,
where your hike begins. It will take us about 3-4 hours to arrive at the astonishing Rainbow
Mountain.

Rainbow Mountain Trek from CuscoThe Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca, is a spectacular place near the snowy
Ausangate glacier. Apu Ausangate is considered sacred by locals and is one of the most
important deities of ancient Cuzco. Since pre-Inca times the mountain has been a place of worship
and offerings, and this tradition continues today.

On this walk, you will see picturesque villages, beautiful “adobe” houses, herds of llamas and
alpacas, and will have a magnificent view of the glacier Ausangate (6,385 m / 20,945 feet).
With its beauty and uninterrupted solitude, this is a spectacular journey for hikers who love a true
outdoor adventure.

After spending plenty of time on the mountain to take photos and enjoy this majestic and unique
natural wonder, we will descend back into Chilca for lunch. After eating, we will drive back to
Cuzco, arriving around 8 pm.
