Wicklow Mountains, Glendalough and Kilkenny Day Tour from DublinAfterwards, we’ll have 1 hour and 45 minutes to explore the city on your own. Relatively small and compact, you can easily explore its points of interest by foot. Maybe explore Kilkenny Castle, Rothe House, or just have a bite to eat.

Following lunch, we’ll hop back on the bus and head out to Wicklow Mountains. Our main destination is Wicklow Gap, which is filled with lush pastures and dramatic glacier valleys. Discover where famous moves like Braveheart and PS I Love You were filmed. Along the way we’ll stop for a 20 minutes to stroll through the countryside and take photos from atop of the Wicklow Mountains.

Next, our journey will lead us to Glendalough, arriving around 2:45pm, where we’ll take a 30 minute guided tour of Glendalough’s Monastic City. Discover Ireland’s golden era – the Early Christian period – and hear tales from the Dark Ages when the monastery sheltered Christian manuscripts from invading vikings.

List to the legendary stories of Glendalough and explore the stunning Upper Lake. After the tour, we’ll have plenty of time here to encounter the untouched beauty of the region.

As we leave Glendalough, we’ll pass through Roundwood, the highest village in Ireland, where you’ll receive immaculate views of the Sugarloaf Mountains, Powerscourt Estate, and the Glen of Imaal.

Then, sit back and relax as we cruise back to Dublin, arriving by 6:15pm.
