Hotel Gran Brizo in its high-rise looks out over Avenida 9 de Julio, the dead-central avenue that Argentines like to say is the widest in the world. If you want to be in the middle of things, there are few addresses that are better than this one.

Both the Obelisk and Avenida de Mayo are within the same distance of this hotel, which is only a couple of blocks away from each other. Even though there is a lot of traffic, the soundproofing is fairly decent. There are bus routes and underground lines that connect all parts of the city, and many of the attractions can be reached on foot. By cab, the local airport is fifteen to twenty minutes distant, whereas the international airport is one hour away.

Rooms

If you want to have a good view, you should try to get a room on the seventh to the twelfth level. The regular Comfort rooms are very small, but they are not cramped, and they have large windows that can be opened wide to let in a great deal of natural light. A beautiful living area and enviable views of Avenida 9 de Julio are included in the corner suites located at the hotel.

There is a high level of quality throughout the entire interior design, including the very stylish couches, the leather wastebaskets, and the beds that are soft but not squishy. In addition to the duvet, standard pillows are made of down. The rooms are equipped with upscale kettles (which come with a temperature monitor that may be adjusted for those who drink maté), quiet refrigerators, and one or two televisions.

The bathrooms are extensive, with powerful and roomy showers, a marble washbasin, high-quality amenities and a towel heater that extends from the floor to the ceiling.

Services

A modest Argentine chain that has been in operation for a very long time manages the Gran Brizo. The staff is kind and well-trained, and they provide services in a timely manner while smiles are always present.

At the hotel, there is a rooftop spa and pool located on the thirteenth story, as well as a nice bar area that is furnished with stools that allow guests to have a cocktail while taking in the view. Visitors come from all over the world, so the staff is accustomed to providing advice for restaurants, museums, and activities that take place in the area.

Food and drinks

An assortment of fruit drinks, freshly squeezed juices (including a zesty house lemonade), espressos to order, breads and pastries made on site, and eggs to order are provided during breakfast, which is served on a landing on the first floor. Also available are some basic cereals and a hot choice that has already been cooked.

Tierra, the restaurant located on the ground floor, has a menu that is centred on grains and is characterised by its excellent vegetable and mushroom risottos, fish, and pasta dishes. Desserts are often extremely sweet and gooey, as is customary in Argentina; however, there are other options that are centred on fruit, such as a “carpaccio” made with passion fruit juice.

All of the Argentine wines that you might possibly want can be found in a cava that is well-stocked. A tiny huerta, often known as a patio garden, is being developed by the hotel in order to cultivate its own herbs and leaves.
