The Kangaroo Island lies off South Australia’s mainland, just southwest of Adelaide. More than one third of the island is protected nature reserve, and is home to native wildlife such as sea lions, koalas and numerous species of birds. In the west, Flinders Chase National Park, like the sculpted Remarkable Rocks and the stalactite-covered Admirals Arch, is famous for penguin colonies and striking coastal rock formations.
Visitors are coming to enjoy all the wild animals, especially kangaroos, in their natural habitat. There is a daily ferry that brings tourists from Adelaide, so they can have great escape from the city for a day or more.
There are so many things to do on this island: learn about wild life, enjoy the ocean and marine life and relax while camping or enjoying nice food and drinks.
Kangaroo Island is third by a size in Australia – after Tasmania and Melville Island and very much worth a visit.
