Leanne De Bortoli and her husband Steve Webber now manage the company’s expansion into Victoria in 1987 in their third generation. De Bortoli Yarra Valley Estate is now run by the family, home to some of the Yarra Valley’s oldest vines.

The newly renovated and renamed Locale Restaurant houses the De Bortoli Yarra Valley Property. Locale is “local” in Italian, referring to their concept of using only fresh, seasonal and organic ingredients. Rustic Italian cuisine’s evolving menus are always fascinating and varied, showing their passion for using top-quality local produce, including some from their own garden.

Other on-site services include a spacious cellar door with a private sampling area and a space for cheese ripening. A full 3-course lunch is included in the restaurant with matched wines, along with a glass of the well-known dessert “Noble One.” Then board your return flight helicopter to Melbourne.
