The Great Ocean Road is a 243-kilometer (151-mile) stretch of road along Australia’s south-eastern coast that connects the Victorian cities of Torquay and Allansford. The road, which was built by returned soldiers between 1919 and 1932 and is dedicated to soldiers killed in World War I, is the world’s largest war memorial.

The road is an important tourist attraction in the region, winding through varying terrain along the coast and providing access to several prominent landmarks, including the Twelve Apostles limestone stack formations.
