Cologne Cathedral
Cologne Cathedral can be seen from nearly every point in the city center and from a variety of other locations. When we fly above the city, the magnificent Cologne Cathedral appears above the roofs and the smoke stacks of the Cologne. It is far more than a point of orientation for the citizens of Cologne, it is the highest point in the city. The two tallest towers of the Cathedral has dominated the view of the city’s skyline since they were completed in 1880.
Since the Cologne Cathedral was topped the telecommunications tower, it is still the second-tallest building in the city. Measuring 145 meters (or even its full cross-length with the length of the nave of the Cathedral) More accurately, a soccer field is “only” 70 x 100 meters. The entire Cathedral covers an area of almost 8,000 square meters and accommodates over 20,000 visitors.
