Casa Loma (translated from Spanish – “Hill House”) is a mansion and garden in Gothic Revival style in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, now a museum and landmark of the historic house. It was built between 1911 and 1914 as a residence for Sir Henry Pellatt, the financier. The architect had been E. J. Lennox, who created several other landmarks in the town. Casa Loma is situated above sea level at an altitude of 140 meters (460 ft). Casa Loma was a famous filming place for films and television due to its distinctive architectural character in Toronto.
It is also a famous location for wedding ceremonies, and after closing the museum to the public, Casa Loma can be leased in the evenings.
It is now one of the top attractions in Toronto.
