What should I bring on a helicopter tour?

If you want to enjoy your flight, you need to dress appropriately. Do your best to dress according to the weather. Don’t become too overheated on a helicopter tour by wearing loose-fitting, light-colored clothes because of the sunlight flowing in through the chopper’s windows.

Sunscreen and sunglasses should also be worn. When flying in a helicopter in the spring and fall, it’s a good idea to dress in layers because the temperature can suddenly decrease. Prepare for the cold weather by wearing long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. Wear a coat, scarf, and gloves if you’re going on your tour in the winter.

Wear slip-on shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. In the summer, avoid wearing sandals or flip-flops. Keep long hair tucked away. Make sure you don’t wear any dangling jewelry.

Pack your camera or camcorder and head out into the wild. You’ll want to take pictures of the stunning landscapes and landmarks below as you soar through the skies. If you don’t have any spare batteries, you can always bring some along. Take a moment to ensure that your cell phone battery is completely charged before you leave the house or hotel.

Bring nothing that could get in the way or interfere with the safe functioning of the helicopter, such as a handbag, backpack, lost keys, or anything else. Ask about carry-on weight restrictions.
