Take an amazing day tour of the Highlands, a land of woods, mountains, rivers and glens!
Visit a local distillery of whisky and sample a warming single malt whisky dram. The day ends with our return to the world-famous Edinburgh Military Tattoo in time for an evening in Edinburgh.
We leave behind Edinburgh and pass Stirling overlooking her impressive castle and the Wallace Monument. Then it’s in the Highlands through the scenic beauty of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, once home to Rob Roy MacGregor, the infamous cattle thief and rogue. Before visiting a local whisky distillery, we will follow the shoreline of beautiful Loch Earn where you will take a guided tour to learn how to make the “water of life” and sample a wee dram for yourself.
We then explore the peaceful Hermitage and take a short walk in the woods to see the Black Linn Falls on the Braan River. We take Dunkeld on the banks of the River Tay with its spectacular cathedral before returning south past the inspiring Forth Bridge.
Back in Edinburgh, you’ll have time to come back to your accommodation or explore the city before you make your own way to the Edinburgh Castle Military Tattoo evening performance.
