San Francisco City Highlights Experience with Official Alcatraz Tour

As your tour of “city insiders” starts in the early afternoon, you’ll be back at our stop at the Palace of Fine Arts and your journey across the Golden Gate Bridge in selfie heaven.

You’ll see the rugged Pacific coastline of the city, the Bison Paddock, huge Dutch windmills, and other famous features as you tour through Golden Gate Park from its Ocean Beach entrance. Stretch your legs out at the Music Concourse and the de Young Museum outdoor sculpture garden. And get your Zen on at Tea Garden in Japan!

You are just starting out. You’ll visit Haight-Ashbury, the Summer of Love (groovy, man!) epicenter of 1967. You will see some historic Victorian homes which survived the horrific 1906 earthquake and fire.

You will pass through the districts of Castro and Mission, home to many vibrant public murals which will inspire you! And the architecture display is only just starting. City Hall, the War Memorial Opera House, and the Pioneer Monument can be seen here.

Then we’re off to Nob Hill and Union Square, driving right by Grace Cathedral, the Pacific Union Club, the Fairmont, and Mark Hopkins Hotels. They are providing an eye to building excellence. These majestic structures aren’t easily forgotten.

You and your camera or cell phone will be busy taking cool pictures from our Chinatown tour, a fascinating culture recognized all over the world.

As we roll into San Francisco’s Little Italy, in the community of North Beach. You’ll enjoy this special part of the city’s colorful sights, full of quaint cafes, beautiful Washington Square Park, and Saints Peter and Paul Church.

Coit Tower, the 210-foot icon, stands in the Telegraph Hill neighborhood above Pioneer Park and the city’s eastern side and marks the end of our Alcatraz whirlwind tour and unique San Francisco. If you want some ideas for a dinner spot to top off a lifetime adventurous day, we’re happy to pressure you to do so!
