Penguin Island & Caversham Wildlife Park Day Tour
We’ll begin our fantastic adventure by traveling south to Penguin Island! For the short but scenic ride to the island we are going to board a ferry from Mersey Point (October to May alone – the island is closed between June and mid-September).
Here we’re going to hear about the most popular inhabitants of the island – the Little Penguins. Only in Western Australia can a large colony of these wonderful critics be found that they love the beautiful crystal clear waters at the coast. Though they’re shy, we’ll get to see them feed by one of the rangers. We will have time visiting the Island while searching for Penguins, Pelicans and a number of other Australian wildlife.
Then we will leave for a 45-minute cruise on a boat under the glass to see rare Australian Sea Lions, pelicans, and fantastic views of the islands. Relax as we float through the sea grass waters and calcareous reefs, seeing sharks, crabs, and other marine life on the glass surface.
We’ll have lunch back on the mainland at Pengo’s Cafe. Then we’ll depart towards Swan Valley and Whiteman Park. Hold your cameras ready; on our drive, you are bound to see wild kangaroos!
Here we can enter the Caversham Wildlife Park where the most spectacular indigenous Australian wildlife is directed. Take the opportunity to feed a kangaroo, take a snapshot of koalas and meet a wombat!
Also, don’t forget to watch the Australian farm series, which will feed a Lamb tank, meet a Stockman on horseback, swing an asshole, see the sheep’s dogs pulling up the goats – all the excitement from an authentic blue Aussie farm!
