Inaugurated in 1998, the National Museum of Scotland‘s modern building houses over 10,000 objects including countless works of art, jewelry, and weapons showing the culture and history of the country.

From ancient times of the dinosaurs to the age of technology of the future, the galleries at Scotland’s National Museum contain treasures from all over the world, and all under one roof. You can also get hands-on with the Learning Centre’s interactive workshops or find out more about robots in the museum’s Robots Exhibition and related events.

The museum is very exciting, with many interactive exhibits and it is great place to spend several hours with entire family.

This museum is part of the group of Scottish museums, where you also have National War Museum, in Edinburgh, the National Museum of Flight, in East Lothian and the National Museum of Rural Life in East Kilbride. They are all worth visiting.
