The Lincoln Memorial is an impressive national American monument constructed to honor the United States ‘ 16th President, Abraham Lincoln. It is situated opposite the Washington Monument on the western end of the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

The building is built in a Greek Doric temple style and contains a large seated sculpture of Abraham Lincoln, together with inscriptions of two most famous speeches by Lincoln: The Gettysburg Address and his second inaugural address.

The memorial itself has been the site of many famous speeches, including Martin Luther King Jr.’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech, delivered on August 28, 1963.

The memorial is one of the most popular landmark in Washington, D.C, and a must see when you visit.
