The privately owned Hotel Sacher Salzburg was opened in 1866 and is a grand, historic hotel that combines timeless elegance and tradition with the highest service standard. It is centrally located on the banks of the river Salzach with magnificent and unique views of the historic old town and the fortress of Hohensalzburg. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

All rooms and suites are individually furnished and feature state-of – the-art facilities. Each one was personally decorated with a great love of detail by Mrs. Elisabeth Gürtler, the owner of the hotel. There are original paintings and silk wallpapers in the furnishings. Air conditioning, a minibar and bathrobes are available in all rooms.

A popular meeting place for gourmets is the restaurant Zirbelzimmer, whose wooden paneling and elaborately carved ceilings are unique in Salzburg. Roter Salon Restaurant is located on the Salzach River footpath and offers beautiful views of the old town and Salzachgrill restaurant serves barbecue dishes.
