Great Ocean Road and Otway Rainforest Day Trip From Melbourne

We leave the head of your hotel in Melbourne or St Kilda and will cross brightly and early the Westgate Bridge to optimize your time on the Great Ocean Way.

After a little more than an hour drive, the first stop is a morning tea on a popular surfing beach near the city of Anglesea. Relax, hang out in the sand and see local surfers catch a few good waves. We will take a short ride to Memorial Arch, a monument to the soldiers who served on the 151-mile stretch of road (243 km) of the First World War.

We’ll proceed on the Great Ocean Road to Kennet River, a small town that has an incomparable life of beautiful coastline and sea cliffs. Here is where your guide helps you discover the local koalas between the eucalyptus trees.

We’ll stop at a nearby Apollo Bay restaurant for lunch and then proceed in the direction of Otway National Park. We’re going to take a guided walk through the forest’s heart and explore plants. As we walk among these giants we go to the ocean and rest on the strong coast of Shipwreck. Here we will discuss the twelve apostles, the Loch Ard Gorge and Gibson Steps.
