Witness the destruction of the core city as well as the ongoing reconstruction. You’ll go to the botanical gardens in the heart of the city and to Sumner, a beach neighborhood. Admire the stunning views of the Canterbury Plains and Southern Alps from the Sign of the Takahe. Following that, the group visits the International Antarctic Centre.

This includes a snow and ice experience, a blue penguin encounter, a 4-D movie experience, and an adrenaline Hagglund ride that recreates the atmosphere of Antarctica. The penguins kept here are rescued and cared for birds, some of them have been with us since they were babies.
