Bordeaux and Saint-Emilion Wine Tour from Paris by Train
On the high-speed train, you’ll leave and return to Paris. Our guide will greet you straight at the Saint-Jean Bordeaux metro platform.
You’ll be sitting comfortably in our air-conditioned minibus heading to Saint Emilion village, about twenty kilometers outside Bordeaux. A walking tour of this scenic village, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, is offered by our driver-guide.
We will start the trip with a visit to the monolithic church and its beautiful cloister. Walkthrough the paved and hilly roads that emphasize the unique charm of Saint-Emilion. The natural character of the city and the richness of its historical and architectural heritage will captivate you.
For this hour-long walk, we suggest wearing comfortable shoes. You’ll take the minibus when you’re finished to meet a local organic wine producer in Saint-Emilion. You will visit a Saint Emilion Grand Cru domain, which has been acknowledged historically since 1925. You will see a passionate winegrower’s daily life firsthand, who will give you his estate a trip for about an hour.
You will enter two distinct houses after looking out at the vineyards at the entrance to the property. You’ll see how the tanks are installed in the first place, and your host will let you in on the winemaking secrets. The second construction houses wine barrels prepared to be degusted. During a delicious tasting, you can then find the richness of this delicious wine.
You will return by minibus to Bordeaux after finding Saint Emilion. You can have dinner in one of the many restaurants in the town middle after 45 minutes (own cost). You’ll have about an hour and a half to eat and walk in the streets.
You will be told to arrive at the front of the Bordeaux Tourist Office at 2:30 pm for an almost two-hour guided walking tour. Here we’ll immerse ourselves in the distinctive environment that makes Bordeaux so special. You will find the frenetic power of pedestrian walkways or squares, and the calm of more distant locations, depending on the road you take.
This guided tour ends at 4:30 p.m.
