Barcelona Gourmet Tapas Walking Tour and Flamenco Show
Eixample – El Born – Gothic Quarter – Plaça Reial
Take a leisurely walk to the edge of the Eixample district to find a tapas gem and one of Barcelona’s finest modernist-style bars after meeting your guide in central Barcelona near Palau de la Musica.
The bar provides delicious Catalan favorite dishes such aspa amb tomàquet (bread with olive oil and tomatoes) and brave potatoes (oil beans, red pepper and chili, served with aioli). Watch the chef prepare the food, then sit down to enjoy a plate and a drink while listening to Catalan cuisine stories.
Have a walk to Born and listen to your guide explain the history, food and culture of Barcelona as you go. Your target is the locally-loved ham store in the neighborhood, where enormous serrano ham legs hang in the windows. Head inside and sample some of the finest meats produced from pigs fed with acorns and sample common cheeses like Manchego.
Continue your walk through Born, pass the Barcelona Cathedral (Holy Cross and St. Eulalia Cathedral) and the old Roman city walls, and then wind your way to the heart of the Gothic Quarter to Plaça Reial, a busy night square near La Rambla, where the highlight of your evening awaits— a flamenco performance inside one of Barcelona’s oldest flamenco bars!
