Itinerary
Travel north up the spectacular California Coast to Santa Barbara for the first stop. Visit a Spanish mission to learn how these religious outposts have been essential to the growth of the region as a whole. Continue to visit the local shops in Solvang, a quaint Danish community. We head north to the world-famous 17 mile drive (part of the # 1 route) where we get close to seeing the beautiful coastline of California. We will visit the town of Carmel after our visit, where actor Clint Eastwood is based. Enjoy some free time before going overnight to Silicon Valley to walk around the area.
We understand today why San Francisco is one of the world’s most beautiful cities. We launch our tour at Fisherman’s Wharf with a cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge and around the legendary Alcatraz Island, in the world-famous bay. Return to Pier 39 before an afternoon tour that takes in all the famous landmarks of the area, including the Golden Gate Bridge, Union Square, Chinatown and Nob Hill, for a leisurely lunch.
From the Bay Bridge, our tour ends with a night view of the city.
Summer Route: We travel east to Yosemite National Park through the farmland of the Joaquin Valley. In the Sierra Nevada, this 1,200 square mile wonderland of woods, lakes and waterfalls is located. Rest at El Capitan, Bridal-Veil Falls, and Half Dome for a walk from the Yosemite Visitor Center to reach Yosemite Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in North America (730 meters).
Winter Route: In order to include the wharf and Cannery Row, we start the day with a Monterrey tour. After our trip, we will head south for a visit to the world-famous Hearst Castle. Built by the newspaper baron William Randolph Hearst, visit the famous antique-filled house and see why the castle served in the first half of the 20th century as a playground for the rich and famous. Drive South towards Las Vegas in the evening.
The path today is east through the desert and the Death Valley to enter the world’s gambling capital: Las Vegas. At the outlet mall in Barstow, which is packed with all the popular brands such as Levi’s, Nike, Reebok, Timberland and more, we stop for lunch.
We take a tour of the strip in the evening to see some of the truly spectacular hotels and fantasies constructed in the middle of the desert, such as Caesar ‘s Palace, Mirage, Luxor, Paris, New York , New York, Treasure Island, and more. End the night at one of the many shows or try your hand at one of the many casinos, who knows you could be smiling at lady luck tonight.
We leave Las Vegas after a leisurely breakfast and go to the Hoover Dam to understand how this man-made phenomenon was created and what it did to the city. We head west after our tour, and we cross over into California after one last shot at the slot machines on the state line. Our tour ends with our Los Angeles arrival.
