You will be picked up by your guide after breakfast at your hotel and travel to Tierra del Fuego National Park, located 11 km from the capital. Within its boundaries, we will be able to appreciate lakes, lagoons and rivers and their exit into the Beagle Channel.
Starting from Maipu Avenue on National Route 3 to the southwest, we will drive out of the town past the slope of Mount Susana, witness to the ancient work of the prisoners of the old prison, where the Southern Fuegian Railway is now situated.
Continuing through the valley to the deviation that brings us to the Bay of Ensenada, where we will be able to see the Redonda and Estorbo Islands and the snow-white Sampaio Chain Mountains (Chile) on the other side of the Beagle River. We will go back again on the national route # 3 with the fuegian forest and its flora near the road to the Roca Lake to make a long walk along the coast of the lake and by the river Lapataia, originating in the lake. We can see the natural border of Cóndor Hill with Chile from this point.
We’re heading to the other end of the Park, where the nro route ends. 3 The Green Lagoon and the Black Lagoon, a large rising peat bog, can be observed at Lapataia Bay on the way to the aforementioned bay. We will eventually pass the beaver dams, the footpath of which will lead to Lapataia Bay.
Then, you will be taken back to your hotel in Ushuaia after being surrounded by wildlife.
We will pick you up between 8 and 8.30 a.m. after breakfast at your hotel, going towards the lakes.
The minibus will follow Route 3, which runs along the cordillera de Fueguina and offers access to the Garibaldi Passage, the panoramic point from which you can see the destinations of the trip: the lakes of Escondido and Fagnano. The descent will start, diverging from the road to follow the ancient traces of woodcutters. Land Rovers allow otherwise, because of the trees, the clay and rocks, to get to places with impossible entry.
You will arrive at the shelter at about 12.30 pm, where you will wait for a delicious asado criollo (typical barbecue). While the guides prepare the food, passengers will walk around to enjoy the structures of the forest and beavers that are part of the landscape.
The adventure continues with the hectic shores of Fagnano Lake after lunch and gaining energy to enter an internal route leading to Escondido Lake, with smaller dimensions but surrounded by an incomparable natural background.
The way back to Ushuaia town will start about 2 pm, taking parts of the old Nacional Road 3.
About 3 pm, you’ll arrive at your hotel.
You will check out of your hotel in the morning after breakfast and have free time before your car comes and gets you to take you to the airport.
