3-Hour Colosseum Tour with Roman Forum and Palatine Hill

Experience all of Ancient Rome, skipping the lines on this half-day tour that covers the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill!

Your tour starts atop Colle Oppio (Opium Hill) with a panoramic perspective of the Colosseum, the most recognizable landmark of modern Rome and one of the most important social centers of Ancient Rome. From there we will go down to our unique access to the Colosseum by Skip-the-Line. Once inside, an expert guide will speak to you through the amphitheater’s bloody past as you listen to gladiator stories, mock marine battles and executions.

You will arrive at Palatine Hill after a short rest at Constantine’s Arch-the most famous of Rome’s seven hills. From here you can admire the opinions of the Roman Forum and the Circus Maximus of Nero, where chariot races once took place. The she-wolf who nursed and brought them up was said to have discovered Romulus and Remus on the Palatine. According to the legend, Romulus founded Rome.

The last stop is a walk along the Via Sacra, the primary route through the Roman Forum that once flourished with festivals and triumphant processions. It finishes at the Temple, where the altar where Julius Caesar was cremated is housed. At this site today, visitors from around the globe are still leaving flowers and candles.
