Reykjavik and Iceland attractions and landmarks
Here are some of the most popular attractions and landmarks in Reykjavik and in Iceland.
We begin exploring the South Coast, home to some of Iceland’s most popular natural attractions, and then visit the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, filled with colossal blocks of glacier-calved floating ice. You will have enough time to discover this bizarre and majestic landscape and photograph it. The Gerdi Country Hotel is our last stop of the day, where dinner is available at the restaurant (own cost).
We will move on the second day to Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest glacier. A spectacular natural ice cave is concealed within the glacier, only begging for discovery. If appropriate, we’ll equip ourselves with crampons, helmets and headlamps before our gallant guide brings us to the ice.
