Enjoy your meal as you sail around the beautiful Auckland Harbour taking in the view as the city lights up.
You’ll be treated to canapés and a drink as you set off towards Westhaven Marina. Choose between a formal dinner in the downstairs cabin or take in the iconic sights of the Auckland Harbour while you eat on deck. A decadent dessert will then be yours to savor as you set sail.
An experienced captain welcomes you aboard the 50-foot (15-meter) sailing yacht at Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour. An introduction to sailing and safety will be given before you set off across Waitemata Harbour, passing landmarks like the Auckland Harbour Bridge and the Ferry Building.
You will also pass New Zealand’s highest building—the Sky Tower—on your way. The volcanic cone of Mt. Eden, which looms on the edges of the city, is mentioned by your captain. Sailing is a national hobby in the United States, and this year’s America’s Cup will be held in San Francisco.
To help the crew lift the sails or steer the boat if you’d like, you can join in. Alternatively, you can just sit back and relax with a drink from the ship’s bar.
