Florence Craft Beer and Food Tour

Join a small group tour to the other side of Florence, also called Oltrarno, where authentic Florentine life can still be found. During this tour, your guide will introduce you to local foods as well as Italian craft beers or local wine.

You will meet your guide in the heart of the city and then quietly walk out of the crowd to step into the real Florence! Before crossing the river and discovering the Oltrarno, we will make our first stop for a mouth-watering sample of cured meat and cheese.

Evening Food Tour of Florence

The tour will continue across the bridge leading to the intimate atmosphere of Santo Spirito, for the first beer sample at one of the best Italian craft beer spots in town. Please do not worry if you are not a beer lover. Italian wine or craft sodas will be available at each stop.

For the second food tasting, we’ll visit the cutest local bakery for a sample of Cecina, a delicious savory chickpea flour pancake of the Tuscan culinary tradition.

After the tasting you will have the opportunity to taste a very peculiar type of pizza whose dough is prepared without yeast, using only sourdough carefully prepared by the master pizzaiolo. This wonderful preparation goes perfectly with another Belgian style, but purely Italian-made, beer sample.

Our next stop is a traditional Florentine Trattoria. This kind of restaurant is family-run and serves homemade food. Your guide will select the day’s special for you and tell you a bit about our Florentine food traditions and culture. Also, be ready to share the table with other clients as Italians do in trattorias.

This afternoon tour will finish with unique food and drink pairing: a chocolate cake paring with a stout-style beer. Don’t wrinkle your nose if it’s your first time trying this combination: you will be surprised by this amazing experience!

Be ready to immerse yourself in the Italian gourmet tradition!
