Talia Caves

The tourist drive of Talia Caves leads to two great caves-The Tub and The Woolshed. The distinctive calcareous and granite formations typical to these areas are both beautifully colored.

Elliston, located on Waterloo Bay’s stunning shores, is known for its stunning sunsets, breath-taking scenery, surfing, and fishing, as well as frequent sightings of sea lions, dolphins, and southern right whales in the winter.

Located in the town of Elliston, Talia Beach stretches for 20 kilometers to Walkers Rock, where you’ll find excellent sand and rock fishing. Before arriving at Talia Beach, travel forty kilometers north-west of Elliston to two noteworthy locations: A large cavern in granite cliff created by wave action, known as The Woolshed.

From the rocks, you can see the honeycombed ceiling, dark crevices, and nearby blowholes thanks to a walkway and wooden steps. The Tub is a huge crater in the cliff that connects to the sea via a narrow tunnel. It has a granite bottom and is 10 to 30 meters deep by 50 meters wide. The descent into the crater is well worth it for those looking for a challenge. A dramatic cliff face awaits you beyond The Tub, from which you can enjoy long vistas of Talia Beach to the south.

Talia Caves also provides 20 bush camping areas, but these are devoid of facilities such as toilets or water.
