Riviera Maya

The Riviera Maya is a length of Caribbean coastline on Mexico’s northern Yucatán Peninsula that is home to a number of resort destinations. It is well-known for its numerous all-inclusive resorts, such as those in the municipality of Playa del Carmen, as well as for its extensive coastline of sandy white beaches. South of Cancun, the town of Tulum is known for its yoga retreats and the well-preserved ruins of a Mayan port city built on an outcrop over a stretch of white sand beach.
